Got my timing pulley gears from sdp-si. Turns out I ordered the wrong bore size on one of them (should have gotten 12mm instead of 10mm). The solution was to try and bore it out on a Mini Precision Lathe I got from Harbor Freight on a Cyber Monday sale where I was able to get them to apply a 20% coupon on top Read more
Had to take a break to raise some funds. In the meantime, I went ahead and modeled as much of the machine I want to build in Sketchup. Granted, Sketchup is probably not the best modeling tool, but I find it the fastest for whipping out designs and dimensions. Read more

After a couple weeks of testing and trying different methods, I finally got my linear bearing situation taken care of. Thought I would write up the process I went through.
update (10-16-2012) – if you go the drill press and template route, make sure your press table and any vises are square. i don’t believe mine was so the batch i didn’t do 100% on the cnc is off by 1mm, making them useless. They are going straight into the foundry… when i build one… I’ll try to post an update when I create the next batch.
